Dr. Thomas Brown is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and was born and raised in New Orleans. He attended Tulane University and then LSU Medical School and completed his Orthopedic Residency through Tulane. He completed a Total Joint Fellowship with Ray J. Haddad, M.D., Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at Tulane.
Dr. Brown has been practicing orthopedics since 1990, and he has done thousands of joint replacements here in the Chattanooga area, both knee replacement and hip replacements as well as shoulder replacements and partial knee replacements. He is also trained in general orthopedics, specifically Sports Medicine, and he took are of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for fifteen years treating all of the athletes.
