Meet Dr. Brown

Chattanooga Center for Joint Replacement and Orthopedics

Dr. Brown moved from his hometown, New Orleans, to Chattanooga in 1990. He was honored to work alongside Dr. Paul Thompson M.D. – an orthopedic legend. Dr. Brown continues to serve the community. He established Chattanooga Center for Joint Replacement and Orthopedics in 1994.

Dr. Thomas Brown is originally from and was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Tulane University and then LSU Medical School where he completed his Orthopedic Residency through Tulane. He completed a Total Joint Fellowship with Ray J. Haddad, M.D., Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at Tulane.

Dr. Brown has been practicing orthopedics since 1990, and has done thousands of joint replacements here in the Chattanooga area; both knee and hip replacements, shoulder replacements, and partial knee replacements. He is also trained in general orthopedics, specifically Sports Medicine, and took care of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for fifteen years, treating all of the athletes.

Dr. Brown is especially sought after by those with aging joints and arthritic pain. Dr. Brown and his wife are the parents of four boys and four grandchildren and continue to serve the Chattanooga community.
